Spider’s Web Production Cancellation

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM THE OLD MILL THEATRE

It is with great regret that the Board of Directors at the Old Mill Theatre has decided that in the best interests of health & safety within our organisation and the greater community we are cancelling our current production of Spiders Web. This decision was not taken lightly and was made in conjunction with the Cast and Crew.

We do not feel that in light of the current status of the Corona virus, within Australia & Worldwide that it is fair for us to ask our staff and patrons to gather in a group of over 100 people in an enclosed space such as a theatre. The risk of exposure, whilst not necessarily significant, is there and is something we consider not to be worth the risk. Unfortunately, as the virus spreads we will see more of our family and friends affected and thus our decision to minimise exposure through social distancing is very important to us. The safety of our patrons, volunteers, artists and the general public is paramount to us at this point in time.

We are contacting all ticket holders with regards to refunds by email where possible and we will be phoning all those who do not have email. If you booked via Trybooking, and have not yet seen an email from us (OMTtickets@gmail.com) please check your spam or junk folders.

Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for further updates. We will be taking into consideration the advice from the Australian Government Department of Health and WHO before making any further decisions as to future productions.

In closing we would like to publicly thank the Spiders Web Cast & Crew for their efforts thus far. The production period ran with a high degree of professionalism and commitment from each and every person and the Board of OMT are extremely grateful for this. We sincerely hope that we get to work with this wonderful group of people again in the very near future.

Best Wishes,

Katherine Freind

Chairperson
